Mazal Tov! The Hebrew date of your Aliyah is the 13th of Elul the day on which Rabbi Yosef Hayim from Bagdad – the Ben-Ish-Hay passed away. He was the spiritual inspiration for the Aliyah of Iraqi Jews in the first years after the founding of the State of Israel. May his merrit bring you blessing in your life here. I made Aliyah on the date of the passing of Rashi, 29 of Tammuz. His merrit brought me home to our dear and beloved land, more than 2 decades ago.
